Andersen Thorp Receives Award

After her speech on April 15th at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Justin Morrill Scholars' ceremony, Andersen Thorp president of the Friends of the Morrill Homestead, received a surprise award from UNL's College of Agricultural Science and Natural Resources by Dr. Ed Harvey, director of the Morrill Scholars program and Dean Steven Waller. Ann's award recognized her seventeen years of dedicated service with the Morrill Homestead, promoting awareness of the life and legacy of Justin Morrill. Mary Victor Giersch, vice-president of the Friends also accompanied Ann to Nebraska.
